Resumen
Set in the 1930s in Manchuria, this novel is about a teenager who is obsessed with the Japanese game of Go, involved in a complex romance with two of her friends--and pregnant. A young Japanese soldier, part of the invading army, begins playing Go with her and falls in love with her. As the Japanese army begins its brutal takeover, the girl and her admirer become caught up in an increasingly dangerous chain of events that ends in tragedy.
