Miller watched Dr Buchan as he moved up the boat towards him, cupping Catrionas face in his big hand as he went past. He didnt look like the family doctor today, all relaxed in shirtsleeves and casual trousers. He stopped to ruffle Millers hair and offer him another cheery grin. Miller liked Dr Buchan. He didnt feel scared when he had to go to the surgery. Dr Buchan was always nice to him. Hed brought him comics and sweets when hed had chickenpox and measles.
